(NEWS CENTER) -- In what has to be a record for the current members of the legislature, both the House and Senate voted on and sent to governor -- and he signed -- a bill to temporarily block any person or entity from getting their hands on the names of people in Maine who have permits to carry a concealed weapon.

It all happened in a matter of hours.

We talk with NEWS CENTER analysts Phil Harriman and Ethan Strimling about the politics involved and why this vote happened as quickly as it did.

Emergency bill temporarily blocks release of personal information of concealed weapons permit holders.

Law enforcement agencies across the state organize gun takeback day.
