We've had some bands of snow moving through the region from north to south, with enough to coat the ground in some neighborhoods.

Friday will bring plenty of sunshine with a brisk northerly breeze.  Saturday will start with sunshine, but then.....

....looks like we've got a pretty good chance of some more snowfall Saturday night into the day Sunday. As always, snowfall in our region depends on the exact track of the incoming low. At this point it appears low pressure to our west will transfer energy to a devloping low along the Mid-Atlantic.  That low will then track northeast, then slide mostly east as it approaches the Gulf of Maine.  Current guidance suggests that the center of the low will stay south of the Gulf, which means that the most snow will fall in southern and coastal Maine.  We're still a few days away, so my estimates will likely change, but right now I'm thinking no snow north of Lincoln, a few inches for the Bangor region, 3-5" along the coast, and 4-8" in southernmost Maine. Again, I would be surprised if these numbers don't change some over the next couple of days as we get closer to Sunday, so be sure to keep checking back with us!
