LIMERICK, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- A fire that broke out at the Pizza Mill restaurant in Limerick Saturday morning is under investigation by the State Fire Marshal's office.
Limerick Fire Training Officer Adam Mason said firefighters were called to the restaurant at 171 Washington St. just after 9 a.m. Saturday for the report of a fire in the kitchen.
Mason said the flames were knocked down within a matter of minutes, but the restaurant sustained extensive water damage.
No one was injured in the fire.
Newfield, Waterboro, and Limington Fire Departments assisted Limerick on scene.
There's no word yet on the cause of the fire, and the State Fire Marshal's office has been called in to investigate.
Mason said the Pizza Mill is closed until further notice.
