Low pressure tracks into the Gulf of Maine this evening and will bring another band of heavy snow during the evening commute. Another factor of this storm is the gusty winds. Winds gusting up to 45mph at times will reduce visibility down to 1/4 mile or less at times. Plan for a slippery evening commute. Dangerous travel conditions continue into tonight. The snow tapers and ends around midnight in southern Maine. Most places will rack up about a half a foot to a foot of new snow. Skies will partially clear Wednesday and winds will still be gusty.

Extended Forecast: After a sunny start to the day clouds move back in during the afternoon Thursday. Cloudy skies Friday with the chance of some light snow clipping far eastern Maine. Weekend looks quiet with a slight warm up.
