BANGOR, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- To ring in the spring season, Mother Nature decided to blow one last punch in several parts of the state.
In the Bangor area snow fell constantly starting late Tuesday Night and continuing well into the morning hours. About 50 workers from Bangor Department of Public Works were busy cleaning up what was a foot of snow in several places. For Bangor resident Bob Brydon, that meant an early start to his snow blowing duties.
"Well I'm not very happy with it obviously, but it's mother nature," said Brydon. "We deal with it."
The snow that fell was enough to cancel school for the second day in a row in several parts of central Maine including Bangor and Brewer. That was great news for kids, but most of the adults we spoke with were less than amused with the white stuff.
"I can't believe it," said Bob Clough on his way to work Thursday morning. "It's got to stop."
Though road crews got quite a bit of snow cleared, there is still more to be done. Which is why another parking ban is in effect for downtown Bangor from 11pm Wednesday night until 6am Thursday morning. Any vehicles left behind during that time period will be towed at the owner's expense.
