It's been a pleasant day across the Pine Tree State, with a fair amount of sunshine mixing with cloud cover; temperatures have been ranging well into the 50s as well.
High pressure will control our weather pattern Saturday so expect plenty of sunshine, but the position of the high (to our southwest) will produce cold northwest winds for much of the day. The high will slide to our east by Sunday, and at the same time low pressure will track our way from the west. The combination of the high to our east and the low to our west will bring southerly breezes to our region, which means temperatures will be fairly mild despite the lack of sunshine. In fact, along with the cloud cover we will probable witness some scattered showers developing during the second half of the weekend.
With dry air in place Monday, expect a return of sunshine as we head into the new work week.
