SCARBOROUGH, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- The drummer for the legendary 1960's band The Doors drew a big crowd in Scarborough this afternoon.

John Densmore was at Bull Moose Music to meet fans and sign copies of his new book "The Doors: Unhinged."

It covers Densmore's legal battle with the other surviving members of the band over whether they would be allowed to go on tour using The Doors' name.

Densmore was joined in the suit by the estate of the late lead singer Jim Morrison.
They successfully argued that the other band members were entitled to play the music, but that The Doors as a unit no longer existed without Morrison.

Densmore was in town as part of Record Store Day, a celebration of independent music stores.
