Augusta hospital construction causes traffic snarls on Turnpike

AUGUSTA, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Heads up for drivers of interstate 95, the northbound on-ramp at exit 113 in Augusta will be closed starting Monday.
 
Roads in the area are getting an overhaul in an effort to ease congestion and improve traffic flow.

It's been snarled up lately because a new hospital, the Alfond Center for Health, is under construction.

Drivers will be detoured via route 104 up to Exit 120 in Sidney.
The Alfond Center for Health is due to open in November.
