LYMAN, Maine (NEWS CENTER) - State police say speed is likely a factor in a crash that killed a four year old girl around 7:30 PM Monday.

Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland says Tonya Cline was driving too fast when she lost control of her car on Walker Road and slammed into a tree.

Cline and her 16 year old daughter escaped with minor injuries, but the 4 year old was killed.

Police are still investigating.
