BANGOR, Maine (NEWS CENTER) - Astronaut's Chris Hadfield and Tom Marshburn were in kind of in a hurry to get home Tuesday night.
The two had landed in the Soyuz early Tuesday morning in Kazakhstan and spent the first few hours sitting in chairs to get their muscles used to gravity, again.
Then they began the long journey home. Their plane made a brief stop in Glasgow, Scotland to refuel. And then it was onto Bangor International airport at around 7:40, last night.
The small jet spend about 50-minutes on the ground at B-I-A... Allowing the Astronauts to stretch their legs a bit on the tarmac.
That's when Hadfield got out his phone and tweeted this at around 8:15:
"Back in North America! Walking around the Bangor, Maine airport, getting my Earth legs back. Fresh, clean air has never been so sweet."
