GLENBURN, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Community members held a prayer vigil Saturday evening for missing 15-year-old Glenburn girl Nichole Cable.
Nichole has been missing since May 12th. Police have issued an image of a Ford Ranger that may have been seen in the area of where she was last seen between the hours of 8 p.m. and 2 a.m.
Concerned residents in Nichole's hometown of Glenburn gathered Saturday evening on the road where she was last seen, Route 221, at the Glenburn Covenant Church.
The vigil was facilitated by Pastor Jack Dowling, who met with Nichole's parents earlier in the day.
"They're resting assured that Nichole will return home safely, and they want the community not to give up hope and to keep looking," Dowling said.
Meanwhile, police are continuing to search for evidence and follow up on all leads and tips. On Saturday, police continued their search in the areas of Route 221 and Route 43 in Glenburn, Hudson, and West Old Town.
Police are asking anyone to forward tips and information to the Penobscot County Sheriff's Office at 947-4585.
The Maine Warden Service is also looking for volunteers to help in the search on Sunday.
Those who wish to assist in search efforts should be at the Glenburn Fire Station at 9:30 Sunday morning.
The search will include wooded and swampy terrain. Officials are asking volunteers to bring their own food , hydration, and an orange hunter style vest.
