(NEWS CENTER) - Called to his home on a seemingly unrelated tip, NEWS CENTER's Melissa Kim spoke with an accused murder between the time of the crime and his arrest.
Kyle Dube, from Orono, is facing a murder charge in the death of Nichole Cable.
He turned himself in to Police on Friday, May 17th to begin serving time for an unrelated crime.
Before he turned himself in, there was police activity at his house. Melissa Kim went to the home to check out what was going on and got the chance to speak with Dube.
Melissa asked Dube why police were there and he told her it was connected to the Cable investigation. She says Dube told her he and Cable were friends.
Melissa said police found bloody towels at the scene. She asked Dube about those and says he told her they were from injuries during automotive repair.
Melissa says that Dube also confessed to some notoriety. He told her that he had led police on a high speed motorcycle chase and would soon be serving time for the crime.
