(NEWS CENTER) -- The Maine Senate voted along party lines to not override Governor Paul LePage's veto of the bill that linked paying back Maine's hospitals the Medicaid payments they're owed with a democrat plan to expand that very program in Maine.

Meanwhile, democrats are floating another plan to help balance a huge gap in the next 2-year budget, which begins in July.  They want to delay a scheduled decrease in Maine's income tax until the next 2-year budget in 2015.

We talk with NEWS CENTER political analysts Phil Harriman and Ethan Strimling about the tax proposal; and about the governor's comment on Wednesday that Maine Congresswoman Chellie Pingree, her husband and his newspapers are behind the push to expand Medicare.
