BANGOR, Maine (NEWS CENTER)-- Hundreds of Mainers got a special Father's Day gift one day early: reuniting with their loved ones.
Members of the 488th Military Police Unit returned home today, and a large crowd of family and friends greeted them at the Army Reserve base in Bangor. Over 100 men and women served in the unit.
Soldiers say they are glad to be home, especially in time for the upcoming holiday.
The soldiers spent over nine months in Afghanistan running security force operations before returning home.
