A stationary front remains draped across the area through the start of the work week and that will be the focus of some thunderstorms along with some heavy downpours. We may be dealing with flooding problems late Monday into early Tuesday with the heavy rain. Our weather slowly improves starting Wednesday. Just the slight chance of showers for your 4th of July forecast.
Tonight - Isolated thunderstorms this evening. Mostly cloudy skies and areas of dense fog developing. Lows in the mid to low 60s.
Monday - Partly sunny skies with showers and thunderstorms moving in during the afternoon. These thunderstorms have the potential to dump some heavy rain late Monday into Monday night. We will keep you posted if the National Weather Service issues any flood watches for this event. Still muggy out there with highs mostly in the 70s.
Extended Forecast - Heavy downpours and thunderstorms continue into early Tuesday. That stationary front responsible for the unsettled weather starts to wash out Wednesday as high pressure builds in from the southeast. It will still be humid and temperatures will warm up towards the end of the week. Just the slight chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms though for the second half of the week.
