AMHERST, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- One person is dead after an ATV crash in the town of Amherst, according to the Maine Warden Service.

In a news release, spokesperson John MacDonald said 46-year-old Kevin Clements was driving his Polaris six-wheel ATV near his home in Amherst just before 7:30 p.m. Saturday.

MacDonald said the machine rolled over and Clements became pinned under the ATV.  He was found by his wife a short time later.

When rescue officials arrived on scene, they determined that Clements was killed in the crash.

Game wardens investigated the incident Saturday night, and aided family members of Clements.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
