Man, it's sticky out! And hot! Lots of locations into the 90s as I post this (around 4pm.) Warm humid air is quite unstable, so it doesn't take much to kick-up some scattered showers and thunderstorms when we've got this kind of air-mass in place. We've already had some decent thunderstorms in northern counties this afternoon, and I expect the storms will become more numerous statewide late this afternoon and into the evening.
Saturday will bring additional showers and thundershowers as a frontal boundary slides our way from the west. So expect muggy, warm and stormy conditions on Saturday, which will be replaced with cooler, drier air with plenty of sunshine on Sunday. So there will be quite a contrast in weather conditions Saturday and Sunday. Once the sunny, less humid, cooler conditions arrive Sunday, expect more of the same for Monday.
I....for one....am ready for some cooler weather. How 'bout you?
