"Elvis" comes to Merrill Auditorium

On Aug. 17, 1977 Elvis Presley was scheduled to perform in Portland, Maine. He passed away on Aug. 16.

But this Aug. 17 at Merrill Auditorium, Elvis finally comes to Portland. An ultimate tribute to "The King" will feature a gala "oldies but goodies" live concert produced by Doo-Wopp Hall Of Fame president/founderHarvey Robbins. The concert will also feature 2012 Rock 'n Roll Hall Of Fame inductee Billy Davis, Motown's Shades Of Blue, and salutes to The Platters, Drifters, and Temptations with former lead singers.

The tribute to Elvis will be performed by Dana Z. and the Royalty of Rock 'n Roll All-Stars Band.

Tickets are $39 and $32 with group discounts available, and "junior citizen" special pricing at $20 for those age 25 and under at the box office. The show will start at 7:30 PM.
