BANGOR, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- The 2013 American Folk Festival is two days away... And that means many people are hard at work on the Bangor waterfront getting things ready.
If you've been attending the event each year, you could see some noticeable differences this time around. One of those differences will be the paved walkways and added lighting on the waterfront that the city added this year.
Folk festival director Heather McCarthy also says, you'll see a few changes to the stages as well.
"One of the changes that people might see from this year is that, in prior years, as you came down river as you walked towards the dance tent and you walked into this area you walked into the back stage zone. This year that's not the case this year we flipped the tent so that you're walking into the audience area. The railroad stage has a new feature which is some hillside seating as you can see on the far side of this lawn area is the hillside which is going to be a great viewing opportunity for whats going on at the railroad stage," said McCarthy.
