WCSH 6 has an immediate opening in beautiful Portland, ME for a Broadcast Maintenance Engineer to support the company's multiple broadcast, online and production facilities. This is a technical hands-on position involving all aspects of installing and supporting sophisticated equipment in a fast paced television environment.

Desired Skills & Experience
Engineering, broadcasting, new media education and/or experience is required. This includes a good understanding of electronics, electrical/mechanical equipment, broadcast signals, maintenance and repair of electronic and computer systems and networks. Prior experience with software systems used to operate a TV station and to produce content will be a plus. Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential.

You must be able to perform well under pressure. High energy and an ability to quickly understand complex situations and provide effective solutions are needed. A demonstrated ability to respond quickly during times of emergencies or breaking news is necessary.
