LEBANON, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- A Massachusetts man was seriously injured in a skydiving accident Friday afternoon in Lebanon.
Lebanon Rescue Assistant Chief Jason Cole said emergency personnel were called to Skydive New England Friday around 3:20 p.m. for the report of a skydiving accident in the landing zone off of Upper Guinea Road.
Cole said when rescue officials arrived on scene, they found a 32-year-old man from Massachusetts with serious but non-life threatening injuries. Officials said the man was an experienced skydiver but made a hard landing.
The injured man was taken by Lebanon Ambulance to the helipad at Goodall Hospital and was later taken by LifeFlight helicopter to Maine Medical Center in Portland.
Cole said the patient is expected to make a full recovery.
