Bar Harbor man arrested for trafficking heroin

BAR HARBOR, Maine (NEWS CENTER) - Bar Harbor Police have arrested a man for trafficking heroin.

Sunday afternoon, Bar Harbor Police stopped Korey Brown of Bar Harbor saying they suspected him of transporting heroin. After seizing his motorcycle, and obtaining a search warrant, they located and seized $28,000 in cash and 500 packets or "bindles" of heroin.

Brown was then arrested at his home on 16 Newton Way in Bar Harbor. He has been charged with Unlawful Trafficking of Schedule "W" Drug, a Class B felony.

Brown is currently being held at Hancock County Jail, in Ellsworth, on $15,000 cash bail.
