CONWAY, New Hampshire (NEWS CENTER) - The mother of a missing teenager from Conway, New Hampshire is pleading to the girl's friends for help in locating her.

In a news conference on the girl's 15th birthday, law enforcement in New Hampshire said they had no new leads in the disappearance of Abigail Hernandez.

Hernandez was last seen leaving Kennett High School around 2:30 Wednesday afternoon. Zenya Hernandez, Abigail's mother, says she suspects that her daughter did make it home before disappearing. Search dogs tracked her scent to the home, leading police to agree.

Police still consider Abigail's disappearance a missing persons case. They say they have found nothing to suggest foul play.

Police say they are not looking for volunteer searchers at this time. They are being helped with wardens from the New Hampshire Department of Fish & Game. They say they will rely on professional searchers for the time being.

Police are encouraging anyone with information to call either Conway Police or the F.B.I.

While looking for Abigail, searchers did find human remains. They believe the remains are of a missing person who disappeared some time ago. A hiker also died in the area today.

Friends of Abigail organized a candlelight vigil Saturday night to pray for the teen's safe homecoming.
