YORK, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- You could call it a local version of "Extreme Home Makeover;" contractor, Jason Lajeunesse is once again making over a home for a family that needs more accessibility for their disabled child.

Over the summer, Jason Lajeunesse, who owns JDL Building & Remodeling of New England, volunteered his services and got a massive team together to help renovate a home for the Bowies; a family in Berwick struggling to move their severely disabled child through their cramped house.

He helped make the home more wheelchair accessible for Aidan.

He's doing it again for a family in York.  As their son Miles grows, they struggle to lift him into his baths, and he's losing mobility throughout the home.

They knew they needed renovations, but kept getting estimates for $100-thousand even with dad, Stephen, doing much of the work himself.

They contacted Jason and asked if he'd be willing to help, they offered to pay him, but he offered to do it for free. Once Jason made a few calls, a number of other companies jumped on board, offering their services and materials too.

The foundation is going in now for the new additon, but they are looking for window and door donations.  Also volunteers with finish work experience will eventually be needed. If you'd like to get involved, check out the campaign's Facebook page.
