WESTBROOK, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Police believe they've caught the man who's been breaking into people's homes in The Hamlet Coach Mobile Home Park on Saco Street in Westbrook.

Over the last week, someone has burglarized several of the homes there while the owners were sleeping; in one case, the thief ran off when someone woke up and found him in their home.

Around 3 o'clock Saturday morning, a woman woke up to her barking dog when someone tried to break in.  She called police, they came rushing in with several officers and a tracking dog from Scarborough.  They say they found Robert Auger trying to run away.

Auger is from Westbrook; he's charged with burglary, theft, and outstanding warrants.

Police say more charges are expected in the near future.
