ARUNDEL, Maine - One person was killed and another injured in a one vehicle crash in the town of Arundel late Saturday night.

The York County Sheriff's Department says 26 year old Bobby Hem of Sanford was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.  31 year old Brian Roche of Old Orchard Beach, the driver of the vehicle, was transported to SMMC with non-life threatening injuries.

The Sheriff's Department, along with Arundel and Biddeford Fire and Rescue responded to the area of 198 Long Cabin Road where they found a White 2002 BMW 2 door sedan had struck a utility pole and wires were dangling around the vehicle.

Sheriffs believe the operator failed to negotiate a curve in the road, left the roadway and struck a utility pole.
