EASTON, Maine - The Maine State Police announced 19 year old Abigail Ladner died Friday from injuries suffered in a head on collision.

Police said 67 year old Barry Belyea of Portland was traveling north on U.S. Rt. 1A on October 27th, when his pickup partially crossed the center line, striking Ladner's sedan.

Ladner, from Fort Fairfield, was flown to Eastern Maine Medical Center immediately after but passed from her injuries late Friday afternoon. Belyea sustained minor injuries and a possible concussion, but was released from the hospital immediately after the accident.

Police add it does not appear that alcohol or speed was a factor in the accident, but the investigation is ongoing.
