HARMONY, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- A basketball tournament in Harmony Saturday drew 27 different teams in an effort to raise money for families with children fighting cancer.
The 3 on 3 tournament was put on to raise money for the Aliza Jean Family Cancer Foundation. It's name is in memory of Aliza Jean Stutzman, a 13-year-old girl from Harmony who lost her battle with brain cancer on January 23, 2013. Her parents decided to form the foundation shortly after the loss of their daughter, to give other families the support that they received from their community.
"Financially support them as best we can so that hopefully at least one parent gets to stay with the child throughout all their treatments," said Aliza's mother Karen Stutzman.
