LEWISTON, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Homelessness, unemployment, mental and physical health: there are a number of serious issues our veterans face.
In Lewiston, there's a veterans fair that attempts to address many of them.
For the second year, the Lewiston and Auburn Military & Community Network organized the event.
There were 38 exhibitors representing a wide variety of services and organizations set up in the Lewiston National Guard Armory Saturday morning.
Veterans learned about everything from VA Benefits, to career center services, to cancer screenings.
If a veteran was unable to attend, but would like to connect with the exhibitors present, he or she should contact a local State Veterans Service Office.
