HOULTON, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- State Police say a man from Stockholm is in jail after his arrest on child sexual abuse charges.
The Maine State Police Computer Crimes Unit and Homeland Security investigators arrested Benjamin Rossignol, 21, and charged him with sexual exploitation of a minor, dissemination of sexually explicit material, possession of sexually explicit materials and unlawful sexual contact.
The victim in the case is a one-month-old girl.
Investigators say Rossignol took photos of the infant and posted them on the web. Federal investigators discovered the photos and contacted Maine authorities.
Rossignol was arrested November 8 at his home on Red Row Street in Stockholm. He made his first court appearance last week. Rossignol is scheduled to be in court again on February 18, 2014.
He is being held on $10,000 bail at the Aroostook County Jail in Houlton. Investigators say if he does make bail, Rossignol will not be allowed to have any unsupervised contact with children under the age of 16.
