OLD ORCHARD BEACH, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- The chilly temperatures aren't enough to stop a lot of Mainers from celebrating this New Year's outside.
Over two hundred revelers were at the beach this year for the New Year's Eve celebration. A giant bonfire built up by old Christmas trees kept the crowd warm. The evening ended with a fireworks celebration around 7:30 Tuesday night.
The night was sponsored by OOB365, a group whose mission is to create more activities for the community to enjoy year-round. Organizers say this event has been running for about 5 years.
