ANTRIM TOWNSHIP, Pennsylvania (NEWS CENTER) - Pennsylvania State Police say a 28 year old Poland, Maine man is dead after an apparent road rage incident early Saturday morning.
Officials say Poland, Maine resident Timothy "Asti" Davison was shot at several times and killed after being pursued by the suspect.
Pennsylvania State Trooper Robert Hicks told NEWS CENTER that initial information indicates Davison was returning to Maine after visiting relatives for the holidays.
Officials said both parties were traveling north on Interstate 81 when they received a call from Davison at approximately 2:10 Saturday morning saying he was being pursued by a Ford Ranger style pickup truck. Davison indicated to police the suspect was firing a weapon at Davison's vehicle. Trooper Hicks added Davison's call disconnected when he entered Pennsylvania from Maryland.
Police say the suspect then forced Davison's vehicle into the median at Mile Marker 3 of Interstate 81 and proceeded to fire several rounds into Davison's vehicle. Davison was found by authorities suffering from gunshot wounds.
Davison was transported to York Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
No arrests have been made in this incident, investigation is ongoing.
