I don't know about you, but this morning I opened our front door to find just a dusting of snow on the driveway. It was a different story for southern counties, with those locations waking-up to several inches of snow on the ground.
Looks pretty tame for Tuesday and Wednesday with a generous helping of sunshine expected both days. However, the sunshine won't be very helpful in warming things up, since we will be under the influence of a chilly north wind.
Changes are coming for Thursday and Friday; the computer models haven't locked-in on a solid scenario yet, but it does appear that an area of low pressure will be approaching our region from the south by Thursday. Depending on the track and speed of the low, we will see snow visit the area Thursday into Friday, with some mixing with rain possible near the coast. Again, the amount, type and timing of the precipitation all depends on the track and speed of the low; we will certainly keep a track on the latest information and keep you informed.
In the meantime, enjoy the sunshine and stay warm!
