HAMPDEN, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- It's an issue that a Hampden man says has been going on for more than a decade.
Jim Barrows, a resident of Coldbrook Road in Hampden, says he feels that there is a higher than normal cancer rate in his town compared to the rest of the state.
Barrow's himself was diagnosed with cancer in 2012. His brother was diagnosed in 2002. Since then he has given the town a list of close to 40 people through the years who have contracted the disease living on Coldbrook Road.
Research by the Maine Cancer Registry showed that there was no evidence of a cancer cluster in the town, but Barrows still wants more information, and is now looking at the Federal Center's and Disease Prevention in Atlanta.
