Bangor Police investigate alleged stabbing

BANGOR, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- The Bangor Police Department received a report on March 4 at 10:39pm that someone had been stabbed at a residence on Deer Isle Road in Bangor.

Officers arrived at the scene to find a female subject with an apparent stab wound. The woman was transported to a local hospital where she was treated and released for a non life threatening injury.

While officers were at this scene, they had contact with a Brandon Kerr, 24, of Bangor. Kerr was discovered to have an active warrant for his arrest for failing to appear on a 2011 theft charge. His arrest and charge were not related to this assault.

This case is currently under investigation by the Bangor Police Criminal Investigations Division and no additional information will be released at this time.
