The national Media Bloggers Association was given two reserved seats at the trial of Lewis "Scooter" Libby. Libby faces charges
of perjury, obstruction and lying to the FBI about his conversations with journalists regarding CIA officer Valerie Plame.
The blogger association plans to rotate Lance Dutson of Searsmont and other members through the seats for the six to eight week trial, which begins Tuesday.
Dutson, who owns a Web site design company and runs the Maine Web Report blog, said he expects to spend two or three days at the trial, probably later this month.
This is the first time that bloggers, or reporters for Web logs, have received the same press credentials as print and broadcast journalists at the federal courthouse in Washington.
