PORTER LAKE (NEWS CENTER) -- Franklin County Sheriff's deputies have made seven arrests in last week's break-ins and vandalism at camps along Porter Lake. Not only were the cottages robbed, but the thieves smashed everything they could, including TV sets, sliding glass doors and windows.
The deputies say there were at least 25 break-ins, with damage estimated in the tens of thousands of dollars. Monday, Farmington police obtained evidence through an unrelated case that led sheriff's deputies to two suspects. 18-year old Timothy Lagasse of Farmington, and 21-year old Shane Sturgeon of Livermore.
Tuesday they made five more arrests: 18-year old Zachary Heath of West Farmington, and 18-year old Dylan Couturier of Livermore Falls, along with three juveniles who will be charged later.
