CHELSEA, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- A resident of Chelsea has been arrested and processed after State Police received a complaint about a man being shot at.
Troopers responded to Brook Lane in Chelsea and arrested Douglas Burl, 54, after the shooting incident.
According to Maine State Police, the rifle that was likely used in the incident was found about 1/4 mile behind Burl's home. Five shell casings were also seized by Troopers.
During the incident, the Chelsea Elementary School, which is located approximately 1/4 mile east of Brook Lane was locked down for approximately 30-minutes as a precautionary measure.
Burl was cooperative and arrested for reckless conduct with a dangerous weapon, and criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon.
