Fall foliage visitors head to Bradbury Mtn.

POWNAL, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Much of the state is in peak foliage right now so enjoy it while you can, it may not last long.

Bradbury Mountain State Park officials were expecting to see more than 2,000 visitors on Columbus Day.

Just a short hike up the mountain will reveal a stunning view, overlooking Pownal and Freeport.

"The weather today is just gorgeous so we wanted to get outside, we wanted to hike and perfect peak foliage," said one mother, who brought her kids for a hike.
A couple from Rhode Island wanted the chance to see some of the leaves before heading home, calling the view, "gorgeous."
