FALMOUTH (NEWS CENTER) -- Traffic is flowing once again on I-295 in Falmouth after an accident involving a NEWS CENTER live truck. The crash happened in the northbound lane. State Police completely shut down a section of the road near the Falmouth spur to the Maine Turnpike, as well as one southbound lane. View Slideshow
FORT KENT (AP) -- Evacuations continue in Fort Kent, where the raging St. John River is three feet above flood stage and rising. Residents have been ordered to leave homes and businesses as floodwaters spill into the Canadian border town. An emergency shelter has been set up at the University of Maine at Fort Kent. FORT KENT(AP) -- The St. John River is dropping much faster than expected -- fast enough that some Fort Kent residents were allowed back into their homes this morning.
Lynette Miller of the Maine Emergency Management Agency says the river had fallen below flood stage to 24.5 feet as of this morning. View Slideshow
