PORTLAND, Maine (AP) - Maine is getting nearly $1.3 million in federal grants for community health centers.

The city of Portland is getting $500,000 to address immediate improvements. The Penobscot Community Health Center, Inc., in Bangor, is getting $498,000 for improvements, too.

The Pines Health Service in Caribou is getting $270,000 in the same category.
