2 seriously hurt in Unity crash

UNITY, Maine (NEWS CENTER) — Two women were seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash Thursday in Unity.

The Waldo County Sheriff's office said the pair's car and a machinery delivery truck collided on Route 220 at the intersection of Depot Street. They said the car had just left the stop sign at that intersection.

Brandy Reynolds, 35, and Patty Bishop, 56, both of Unity, suffered serious injuries, the county sheriff's office said, and were transported for emergency care.

The driver of the truck, 73-year-old Bradley Brockway of Albion was uninjured in the crash.

Waldo County Sheriff's Sgt. Nick Oettinger said Thursday the office didn't have a "glaring" causation factor, though they did not suspect speed or intoxication for anyone involved.
