Alleged drunk driver survives rollover crash, police say

EASTON, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- A man and woman survive rollover crash in Easton Friday afternoon, according to Maine State Police. 

Trooper Ryan Kilcollins and Cpl. Dennis Quint said James Dumond was speeding while intoxicated on Ladner Rd. when he failed to negotiate a curve in the road. His car left the right side of the road, striking a culvert and causing the vehicle to roll over.

Dumond suffered minor injuries in the crash and his passenger was not injured.  Police say Dumond was arrested for OUI and transported to the Aroostook County Jail.  The woman was rescued by a group of good Samaritans.
