The Bangor State Fair is back in full swing and that means the return of some longtime vendors.
The Buchino family of Buchino's Footlongs have sold food at the Bangor State Fair for decades. The business has been family-run through four generations.
For James Buchino, the fair is almost like a second home. He's been coming to Bangor for nearly 20 years. He says his 81-year-old father, who is also in the family business, has been coming since he was 8 years old.
"It's a sense of pride. It's a sense of tradition," Buchino said.
Tiffany Sun, Assistant General Manager, for the Cross Insurance Center says the fair brings in approximately 40,000 people each year. Sun adds that the expected economic impact is over $500,000.
