Mail driver shuts down I-95, survives overturned tractor-trailer crash in Augusta

AUGUSTA, Maine (NEWS CENTER) --  Massachusetts U.S. mail driver survives overturned tractor-trailer crash that shut down I-95 in Augusta Friday morning. 

Maine State Police say the driver was hauling U.S. Mail from Springfield, Mass. to Bangor, Maine when he crashed near exit 114 Northbound on I-95 in Augusta at approximately 5:19 a.m. 

The driver suffered minor injuries and was checked and released at the scene by Augusta Rescue

The driver is speaking with Commercial Vehicle Enforcement and Augusta Fire/Rescue.

The cleanup is expected to take 4-5 hours.
