LePage shows support for Trump

AUGUSTA, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Governor Paul LePage is not backing down in his support of Donald Trump as his choice for President of the United States.

During his weekly radio show on WVOM's with George Hale and Ric Tyler show -- The governor had this to say when comparing Trump to President Obama.  "Sometimes I wonder that our constitution is not only broken, we need a Donald Trump to show some authoritarian power in our country and bring back the rule of law because we have had 8 years of a President, he is an autocrat."  Lepage went on to say, Obama does it on his own, he ignores congress. "We're slipping every day we're slipping into anarchy. I just think that four more years of a similar mentality is going to destroy this nation."

The Governor also said in response to the Trump tape released last week -- That Trump is "not (the) ideal guy I'd want my daughter going after." But LePage believes he should be "head of state".
