Man being held without bail for kidnapping, other crimes

BRUNSWICK, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- A Maine man is being held without bail.

It's not clear exactly what Patrick Ridley did, but he's been charged with kidnapping, aggravated assault, and misuse of a public benefit instrument.

He was brought in by Brunswick police after a two day investigation.

It came to a head Friday night when Ridley tried to run away from police, but K9's sniffed him out and he was found in a yard.

Police will only say the charges relate to a domestic violence incident, and details are being withheld to avoid compromising the investigation.
