Man found dead in car in Sherman, police call it 'suspicious'

Investigation of 'suspicious' death

UPDATE: The death is now being investigated as a homicide, according to McCausland. The victim has been identified as 31-year-old Douglas Morin of Oakfield. The cause of death has not been released.

SHERMAN, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- The Maine State Police is investigating what they are calling a 'suspicious' death in Sherman.

Maine Department of Public Safety spokesperson Stephen McCausland says a man's body was found Sunday morning in a car on Lower PD Road. The body has been transported to Augusta and an autopsy is underway at the State Medical Examiner's office.

State Police detectives are investigating. They are not realizing the name of the man until his family has been notified.

No other information has been released.
