Speed and alcohol factors in Frenchville rollover crash, state police say

FRENCHVILLE, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Two people were sent to the hospital early Saturday morning after a rollover crash in Frenchville, State Police say.

State Police responded to a crash on Pelletier Avenue around 3 a.m. Saturday where they found a Dodge pick-up in a ditch on its roof. The 17-year-old driver and passenger were able to get out of the car after the crash and were taken to Northern Maine Medical Center with minor injuries.

The initial investigation showed the teen lost control of his car and left the roadway. Officials say speed and alcohol were both factors in the crash, which is still under investigation.
