BANGOR (NEWS CENTER) -- 5-year-old Alyssa Buzzard of Bradford has died from the injuries she sustained Tuesday night in an accident in Levant.

Penobscot County Sheriff's Deputies confirm that Buzzard died Thursday at Eastern Maine Medical Center. Her 7-year-old brother, Caden, remains in critical condition at EMMC.

The Buzzards were in a mini van their father was driving on Stetson Road Tuesday night. The van went through the intersection at Route 222 and a Jeep hit it. The van spun and hit a pick up truck. Investigators are still trying to determine why the van went through the intersection.

Also in the van was 1-year-old Jacoby Buzzard and 4-year-old Benjamin Speed of Bradford. They both are in fair condition at EMMC.

William and Crystal Buzzard were treated and released from the hospital. The driver of the Jeep and the two people in the truck were treated and released.
